Sweet Kitchen was created from scratch nearly 3 years ago after Mike Dulin and Rachel Shattky identified a gap in the Christchurch market to provide top quality, freshly baked & well presented sweet treats.
Mike an award winning Pastry Chef with over 20 years experience, honed his skills with the plated dessert working in high-end restaurants throughout the United States. With the creation of Sweet Kitchen, he is now able to provide these sweet works of art for people to enjoy in their own homes.
The Merivale store & café opened in November 07 and offers expertly brewed Underground fair trade coffee to accompany their cakes & desserts. Cake and coffee – the perfect combination!
When not busy creating or selling their products, the pair can be found on top of a snowy peak or at their nearest surf beach.
